ALARA is an acronym for As Low As Reasonably Achievable. This is a radiation safety principle for minimizing radiation doses and releases of radioactive materials by employing all reasonable methods. ALARA is a regulatory requirement for all radiation safety programs. It applies not only to workers, but to the general public as well.  Exposure to ionizing radiation should always be minimized.

This should include reducing exposure to your family following Radioactive Iodine treatment for Thyroid . The best way to ensure you minimize the risk of second hand exposure from RAI (I131) treatment is to clean with Bind-It™
